A visit to the Royal Porcelain Works monthly bookclub
I was recently very honoured to be the first author invited along to the monthly bookclub which meets at the Royal Porcelain Works in Worcester. The club’s regulars had all read Canal Pushers and told me they very much enjoyed the local references and the relationship between the two main characters – and there was some fascinating disagreement about what direction that relationship should take. For an author, there’s nothing like reader feedback in person. They also told me the book had made them more wary about walking along the city’s canals at night!
